What an unforgettable weekend! Urbanite: C-U was truly next-level. A huge thank you to the INCREDIBLE talent that graced our stage, the HYPED crowd, our amazing partners—Krannert Center, Illinois Student Affairs, Dance @ Illinois, Campus Rec, and Red Bull—and, of course, the people of Champaign-Urbana and the University of illinois for making it all possible.

A high-energy dance showcase like no other. Urbanite combines all elements of the culture to create an electric event that is both potent enough for die-hard dance fans and accessible enough for the casual admirer. Founded 1998 in Champaign-Urbana, IL, the experience has grown to 40+ showcases around the world aiming to bridge the gap between the worlds of choreography and freestyle dance, street dance and academia, dancer and fan, while connecting people to the culturally-rich dance scene through events with elevated production.
